Debi Giannola, Cathi Hatch & Patty Barrier give Kenny a leg up |
This morning,
Patty Barrier,
Debi Giannola and I joined over 100 friends of
Ken Kirkpatrick to be part of
"Team Kenny" for the
Seattle Brain Cancer Walk at the Seattle Center. It was a beautiful, sunny morning and we were all so happy to be there for
Ken.
To find
"Team Kenny", we looked for the 100 blue balloons, which were visible all the way across the Seattle Center Courtyard area as we walked in from the parking lot. There were many friends, neighbors, and employees of
US Bank there wearing goat bells and carrying blue balloons.
SaSa and
Tina Kirkpatrick were there helping to organize all the participants.

Some of the friends and supporters we had a chance to connect with there were
JJ McKay,
Eric Akines,
Mike Doherty,
Kristie Mock,
Carol & Buster Brown,
Gaylee & Jim Duncan,
Glenna Olson,
and Kathy & Jim Tune. There were bands playing, cheerleaders cheering on the walkers and entertainers all along the walk route to keep the morning high energy and lighthearted. We were all so happy to see Kenny and to walk with him to raise money for brain cancer research.

Cathi, I heard there is a blog site following Kenny's fight. Do you have it? Kenny is one of the most wonderful people I have ever had the priviledge of knowing and would love to help out any way I can. Thanks.
