Yesterday
Ken and I joined extended family members to celebrate the blessing of
Ken's 5th grandchild,
Andrew Michael Hatch. His father,
Michael Hatch, provided a beautiful blessing at the church and then following the service, we went to a celebration lunch at the
Seattle Tennis Club organized by his proud mother,
Alicia Hatch. The celebration sugar cookies she placed at each place setting were actually not only charming, but delicious too.

Patty Barrier and Cheryl Cooney dote on Andrew |
Andrew is the perfect baby. He is alert and bright-eyed and never fussed though he was passed around from one adoring person to another. He has blue-grey eyes, though both of his handsome big brothers,
Jackson and
Spencer, have brown eyes. It is probably still too early to tell whether his eyes will stay blue or not, but he is certainly beautiful.
Godmother,
Betty Tong, brought
Andrew a tiny, polished 24k gold bracelet that has the Chinese symbol for longevity on it and though I didn't see what was in it, good friend
Patty Barrier brought a
Porsche gift bag. Maybe a gift certificate for a new
Porsche when
Andrew is sixteen years old??

Kip, maternal grandparents,
Jan & Jeff Jackson from Little Rock, Arkansas,
Cheryl & Kevin Cooney,
Mallory & Bradley King,
Myrna & Gordon Conger,
Chris Coburn and daughter,
Lauren, and
Andrea & James Roberts and their two sons,
Aaron and
Alex.
