Two Birthdays, Two Cakes, Two Gifts

Alicia, Spencer, Jackson, Michael & Andrew Hatch
Over the weekend, Ken and I decided to take a birthday dinner over to Alicia & Michael Hatch's new home  to celebrate Jackson's sixth birthday and Spencer's fourth birthday.  Though birthday celebrations are being planned to happen in March, we decided we should recognize the boys' actual birthdays which are only a couple of days apart.

Spencer & Jackson Hatch prepare to blow out candles.
Alicia and Michael had been moving from their home in Broadmoor to the new home in Madison Park during the past few days and were tired, hungry and exhausted.  We arrived bearing two ice cream cakes, dinner and two Legos sets of course.  As usual, though we always try to avoid this, we had purchased and brought a set that Jackson already owns as part of his extensive Lego collection.  Luckily, he did not already have the set that we brought for Spencer so both boys were happy building it together until baby Andrew would insert himself into the middle of their project and Legos would go flying.

As we packed up and got ready to leave following our enjoyment of the two ice cream cakes, (chocolate cake with mint chocolate chip ice cream for Jackson and a white cake with cookie dough ice cream for Spencer)  and Michael and Jackson were headed across the bridge to Bellevue Square to exchange the duplicate Lego gift and choose a new one.

Happy Birthdays, Jackson and Spencer!
